Situated in a peaceful part of town a short walk from Princes Park, Havilah’s Harkness site offers spacious living, natural light and award-winning gardens. All rooms in Melaleuca House are at mezzanine level and are single occupancy with en-suite. Four of the rooms are interconnecting and suitable for couples. The mezzanine level is accessed via lift, stairs or ramp. All but two of the interconnecting rooms have direct access to either the internal courtyard or veranda. The rooms have individual air-conditioning. All of the quality furnishings and fixtures and fittings are maintained to a very high standard.
Havilah is a very safe facility and has many measures in place to stop the spread of fire and smoke and to provide for safe evacuation in the case of a fire – this includes fire and smoke compartments, sprinklers and smoke alarms. HAVILAH IS A SMOKE FREE SITE and therefore Smoking is not permitted on Havilah sites at any time. Backup power is in place covering the entire site. Call points are located in each resident’s private accommodation and also in all public areas. In addition residents have access to a pendant alarm which they can wear at any time. Residents have direct dial telephone access over the site so can talk to care staff and other residents at the push of a button. For your security electronic locking is in place and doors are locked after dark. All of our rooms have views of our award-winning gardens or the surrounding countryside.

Maximum Price = $380,000. This can be paid as a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) or a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or a combination of both.
The DAP is calculated at 7.9% pa
(Maximum Permissible Interest Rate) on the balance of the Room Price after payment of the RAD and can be deducted from any RAD paid on requirement.

Havilah is spacious and innovative in its design. Those who have made it their home and all who visit are impressed by the layout and feel of Havilah. This room type is linked to the common areas by wide enclosed walkways. Melaleuca House has its own private dining facilities with kitchenette and lounge area. This area opens onto a large balcony on the mezzanine level. Residents have access to AUSTAR and WiFi in the lounge. Residents have access to our main dining room and the large private courtyard and verandahs extending out from the dining area. A large private function room is also available for concerts, dances, activities and private family functions. Separate kitchen/dining areas are available for smaller private functions.
