At the heart of any strong community is a willingness to help, and Havilah has a wonderfully strong team of over 120 volunteers who happily give themselves to assisting the residents and their families in many different ways. Whether it is catering, entertaining, in-kind support from businesses, help with transport, or simply being available for a cup of tea and a chat - there's always someone at Havilah ready to share their time.

Fundraising is also essential for the growth of Havilah and that could not be done with out the help of volunteers, including our local Auxiliary and Volunteer Catering Committee. Our wonderful volunteers include many generous staff members and resident retirees. Our annual volunteer dinner is served as gratitude to all who give a helping hand.
Throughout the year residents enjoy celebrations for each significant event such as Melbourne Cup and spring racing events, Easter, Mother’s Day, ANZAC day, Halloween and more - culminating at Christmas when our facilities are beautifully decorated and residents are able to host family and friends at our annual BBQs. These events are vastly enhanced by the generosity of a caring community.
